Alfred G Mora

Alfredo German Mora, 86, of Miami, passed from this life into eternal life on Friday,  May 30, 2020.  He will be long remembered for his uncanny ability to reach people through very little choice words filled with integrity and wisdom.  He was a gentle giant but people listened when he spoke!  He was well respected by all who knew him and loved him.  Family and friends will deeply miss him.

He was born in Cuba on October 11, 1933 to Jose Mora Mendoza and Carmen Santos Seisdedos.  Growing up in Cuba in this era alloted him the luxury of showing his giftedness that came from his super-sized hands and intellect to creatively construct things with his hands and mind that neighborhood kids so admired and respected in him.  He would invent many spectacular things that the kids would oooohhh and aaaahhh over!

As an adult in Cuba, Alfredo partnered in the family-owned Sinclair Station that customers could rely on having their automobiles serviced and repaired.  When Fidel Castro came into power, Alfredo and his wife, Caridad, along with their two sons, Alfred and Herman decided to leave Cuba in 1963 and came to the United States on a weekend Visa, then asked for political asylum upon landing in Miami with $90 and three changes of clothing. Alfredo and Caridad left behind his portion of the business, a home, family, friends, and fond memories to embark on a new life in a new country with very little to their names and a lot of hope for "The American Dream".  It was expected of them not to take any U.S. Government assistance for five years.  The family established roots in Miami, moved to  Puerto Rico, onward to New York City,  then to New Brunswick, New Jerysey, and finally in 1976 they returned to Miami to establish their final residence.  The family struggled but managed to adapt to a new culture, new careers, while adding another son, Anthony – all three sons were better known as "The Three Musketteers".  Alfredo worked as a tool & dye machine specialist for Thomas Collators in New Jersey which became Pitney Bowes and then worked at Royal Precision in Miami until retirement to the age 75.  Alfredo and Caridad were devoted and proud legal citizens to their new homeland of the United States of America!

Alfredo is missed by his dearly beloved three sons:  Dr. Alfred J. Mora. (spouse, Catherine) of Fort Pierce, Florida and their daughter, Ariana and son-in-law, David of Atlanta, Georgia; Herman L. Mora and his son Herman Mora, Jr., of Miami, Florida; and Anthony J. Mora, Sr.  and his four children, Demi Mora, Natalie Mora, Anthony J. Mora, Jr., and Nichole Mora of Pembrook Pines.  Caridad survived her husband of 61 years but passed away two months later on Friday, July 31, 2020 to her eternal resting place.  They both are buried together at Vista Memorial.

Alfredo wlll be dearly missed and will be forever remembered by "The Three Musketters" and the memorable memories and adventurous times that they lived and loved together!
