Adelaida Salgado

October 16, 1930 — October 25, 2023

Adelaida Salgado Yanez, 93, of Hialeah, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Adelaida was born in Cuba on October 16, 1930 to her parents Jose and Ofelia (Collazo) Yañes.   She was the youngest of 7 children.  She was married for 70 years to the love of her life, Vicente A. Salgado who recently passed away 5 months ago.  They had 2 daughters, Mirtha and Vivian.  Vivian was her youngest and unfortunately passed away 15 years ago .   She is survived by her only living daughter, Mirtha, grandchildren, Isleene, Kenneth, Stacie and Justin, great-grandchildren, Mathew, Merit and Ozzie and her most recent great-great-grandson, Enzo.   Adelaida loved cooking (especially baking flans), she loved to dance, sing, family gatherings and cruising.   She loved her family deeply and wholeheartedly.   Those who knew her admired and loved her for her humbleness and kindness.   When you would ask her in the mornings how she was feeling, she would smile and say "ENCANTADA DE LA VIDA!" (which means Enchanted by life).   Despite all the illnesses that she encountered throughout the years, she conquered them all and always with a smile.  Her will to live was unmeasurable.  She fought until her very last breath.   She will always be remembered and loved and will never be forgotten
