Abe Lalito Padro

December 2, 1964 — December 31, 2022

"A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again."—MAYA ANGELOU

On December 31st, 2022 Abe (Lalito) Padro began his journey to next life, at the age of 58. He is survived by his wife Sandra, his kids Patrick, Emma and Mia; his mother Aida, his siblings Amaury (Doc) and Arlene (Fella), his brother in law Manny and sister in law Marieta, his niece Meghan and his nephews Julian, Logan, Jake and Brandon; and his big loving family and friends.

We will remember Abe for his loving, kind and gentle soul that carried the biggest heart. His free spirit allowed him to open up to embraced others. From early age, his happiest memories were forged around his loved ones and the many friends he made along the way. He loved to reminiscence about the good times. He was a dedicated and disciplined athlete, always training, which kept him healthy and young. The ocean was a constant in his life and his happy place. He never missed a South Florida swell to go catch a wave; and even on a "flat" day he would go for a swim. He enjoyed watching all sports, and became a loyal fan to his favorite teams, no matter the scores. He had a gift for engaging in conversations, which built him connections and ever-lasting friendships. He had a bright and intelligent mind that always sought knowledge, making him an avid reader. Movies, series and documentaries were another source to continue learning about history, personalities and current events; or to simply relax in the couch. Listening to music was a part of his daily life. From The Smiths to Roberto Torres, and everything in between, if he liked it, it will be added to his music library.

He meant so much to all of us, and above all, he loved us unconditionally. We will always keep him in our hearts, with his big smile and squinting eyes!

A memorial will be held at a later date and the family will provide the information.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly suggest that donations be made to the Surfrider Foundation-Miami Chapter.
